St. Brigid’s Children Centre is a bright, light-filled, modern, purpose-built facility. We provide high-quality childcare that is accessible, affordable and inclusive in a nurturing, child-centred environment where children have fun, play and learn under the care of professional and dedicated staff.
Our large secure outdoor space includes a grassed area, a mud kitchen, a sand pit and a soft play surface. Each room also has its own secure outdoor play area which is accessible to the children all day.
We offer full-time, part-time, sessional and school-aged care and education to children from 1 year to 12 years. We provide a positive, caring and safe environment in which children’s confidence, self-esteem and skills will grow through opportunities to explore, discover, learn and play. We promote an anti-bias approach where all children are respected and cherished.
In St. Brigid’s Children Centre our programme planning is based on the needs, life experiences and interests of our children. Our curriculum includes Montessori and play-based approaches and reflects the principles and standards of Siolta, The National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education, and Aistear, the Early Childhood Curriculum Framework.
