  • Children Centre

The Children Centre provides high quality childcare that is accessible, affordable and inclusive in a child centered environment where children have fun, play and learn under the care of professional staff.

Information and parenting support are also provided as part of Family Support. There are a number of places available to parents as identified by the HSE / Tusla who are in need of respite childcare.
This service also accommodates children of parents who are accessing counselling in St. Brigid’s FCC.

St. Brigid’s Children Centre ensures that all curriculum planning and development is completed by staff with due regard to the varying needs of the children involved. They will ensure that the programmes are evaluated regularly with regard to their benefits to the child’s learning and education.

Children are observed closely and their development recorded to enable staff to plan activities and provide resources which support children’s learning and help them to achieve their potential.

An overall approach is taken to programme planning based on the needs and age of individual children. Montessori and Play Based are included. Our programmes address all stages and aspects of development – physical, intellectual, language, emotional and social.

St. Brigid’s Children Centre adheres to the principles and standards of Siolta The National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education and Aistear the Early Childhood Curriculum Framework.
