Harvest Festival 2014

The Waterford Harvest Festival took place from September 12th – 14th. St Brigids hosted a number of events during the course of the weekend in Wyse Park in the city. On Friday we had the Waterford Hoedwon which was a hugely successful night. The intergenerational group worked together during the summer months to learn some amazing line dancing routines as well as putting together some beautiful art pieces that were on display on the night, live music and a barbeque added to a wonderful atmosphere. Saturday was all about the garden with demonstrations on how to build your own garden beds as well as a workshop “Herbs, Potions & Lotions” that captured the attention of everyone on the day. Our final event took place on Sunday and was all about the kids (Although the adults seemed to enjoy it just as much). We had Jelly Bean Julie entertaining the kids with her music, puppet shows and games as well as Waterford Hullabaloo creating a great buzz with their Harvest Creatures/City Zoo that was created by the Children and Adults.

St Brigids would like to thank everyone involved in what was a fun filled weekend.

Family Fun Day 2015

St Brigids annual Family Fun Day took place on July 18th 2015. Once again the day was very successful with a full house and lots of fun and activities from Gymboree, to relay races, face painting, art and crafts and much more taking place. The day was made even more special with a wonderful performance by the Mission Valley Chorus all the way from sunny California. The choir performed a range of songs that entertained the crowd for the afternoon.

St Brigids would like to thank all involved in making this event such a great experience for all from those involved in the organising and all those who attended on the day.

A special thanks to the Manor Street youth center, Civil Defence, Revolution Bar, Our volunteers, Thomas our caretaker, Aldi, Tesco, Supervalu, The Womens Centre.
