St Brigids, in conjunction with TUSLA Child and Family Agency, has an outreach service, the Portlaw Community Resource Hub. This service has been running since May 2015 and is based at Clodiagh House outdoor campus and facilitation spaces.
Portlaw Community Resource Hub provides a range of programmes and supports to families, individuals and groups in the Community.
The following supports and services are available in the Hub:
- One to One Family Support
- Information and Signposting
- Parent & Toddler Group
- Storytime and Play for Babies and Toddlers in Conjunction with Portlaw Library
- Social Club for Parents of Children with Additional Needs
- Waterford Women’s Centre Outreach Programme
- Bowling Group
- Knitting Group
- Formal and Informal Educational and Training Programmes in Collaboration with WWETB
- Social Prescribing
- Summer Programmes for Families
- Mindfulness Through Creativity for Children
- Cultural Events
- Community Allotments
A number of local Groups and Agencies also use the Hub space including:
